Title: Man Utd away 18/11/17
Post by: Scoot on November 13, 2017, 08:52:43 PM
Can't see anything other than a 2 or 3 nil loss here.

Here's hoping though...

We will not get anything from this game I guess. I think we will get beat 2-0. However football can produce strange results let's hope for one on Saturday!

Remember the game where we were 0-0 at half time at Old Trafford yet still lost the game 6-0. :|

Was under Pearson that. I remember 5-3 and 6-2 in the same season, Van Nistelrooy and Scholes running riot.

Not confident for this one just hoping we see Mitrovic and Aarons for a bit flair and something different.
If he sticks Perez on the wing with Diame behind Joselu i'm not watching it.

f***en Diame is just as bad as Joselu.

Such a lazy player.

Ye this will be a tough one , hope we don't get a walloping like we did often enough in the Pardew years against anyone have decent. If we get stuck in and keep tight early we might get beaten by a small margin. I am not optimistic with games vs them they always seem to enjoy hammering us.

We cant score goals & always look like a goal is going to be scored against us thanks to an error by one of our own players.

If Manx Utd play to their full potential we're going to find it hard but if we can limit them to long range shots who knows, we maybe lucky & get a draw but i can't see it.

Home win 2-0 :nonono:

Ever see the movie Zulu?

It'll be just like that.  The Toon will be playing the part of the 24th Regiment of Foot. With Manure playing the part of the Zulu hordes.

I'm not expecting the same result though (a draw)!

Rafa will be tearing his hair out.  Get to half time lads regroup, stop them crosses coming in cos Elliot is fooking' useless with crosses so protect him.  Ffs , just ignore everything I said why don't you...

Played some good football that half, just knew with the amount of attacking talent out there on the pitch for Manx Utd it would only be a matter of time before they got into gear.

It's not over yet & we could still get something out of this game but i cant see it, just hope we keep it  to a respectable score

I agree we have played quite well. Look at the players Man Utd have and we have matched them most of the time. Oh well we may well get a stuffing now with that late goal. Such is life.

Less to do with experience and more to do with talent. He just doesn't have any. Mind boggling signing

Indeed. He won't make it in the Prem as long as his turds make a splash in the pan.

i think young murphy has done ok, to be fair its hard when you are down to 10 in the first second of the match,,,,,joselu! just send 10 players out rafa we wouldnt see any difference, he has the worst first touch of any forward ive seen at this level.

Probably right because we were never going to get anything today.  But, that's three on the bounce now and Rafa keeps picking the same donkey up front.  So much for our organisation as well as we're all over the place in the second half.

He'll be away in January. Him and Rafa obviously have issues. Doesn't excuse him not trying for the fans though.

The game was gone by the time he came on nothing he could do. We were well beaten Man Utd look a decent side.We are one of many teams trying to stay in this league. The top 6 are so far ahead of the other teams. Oh well two home games to come we need points from those games against teams.

True, but there was a distinct lack of effort on his part.  He's still in the shop window if he wants away in January.

What everyone has to remember we're only a championship team with a few premiership quality players, Shelvey, Merino Hayden & maybe Ritchie.

Until the fat man sells up & we get a better investor, we'll be on the wrong end of scorelines like this game more frequent.

As for Joselu, has he got something over Benitez? Cos i can't understand why he still starts games, fed up of seeing Mitro not being given the chance to start games or getting more gametime :nonono:

Isn't it about time that Rafa came out with the REAL reason he won't play Mitro, even as a sub?

Excellent first half but second we just couldn?t keep the ball

Hayden should of buried that chance just before half time & I thought he had a really poor game all round

Few loss of possession and errors that turned the tide, had we kept it up til half time i'd have fancied at least a point. Haven't seen the replays but Murphy could've made it 2?

Was expecting a defeat it's just disheartening to concede 4 especially after recent results where we've been too defensive in my opinion. Anyway hopefully this goal for Gayle means he's got some confidence and we don't see Joselu for a while. Mitrovic will score if given the chance, but Rafa's already made his mind up.

Murphy looks very raw but certainly my opinion of him improved after the match. And he's only played about 4 top-flight games. Reserving judgment.
