I love how everyone seems to be predicting Williamson to score!  That's optimism!

Hope the game against Cardiff was the start of a good run, we've got the results so far without playing in top gear. I hope Hughton does'nt go defensive and keeps with Routledge and Jonas on the wings but i fear he may well play Nolan in the hole behind Carroll. Anyway its all down to us now and we've got the squad to win this league, Derby will be well managed and up for their 'cup final' but we must show that we're to strong for them.

i'd make one change for this game colo in for hall if he's fit, don't think we will get the type of game as we did friday, but we have to go there thinking we can win it, nowt against derby but when going to teams that are near the bottom if the league we should be getting 3 points if we are gonna win this league, wish i was going

If Smith plays he needs to get back into his battling spirit, he has been terrible recently, as compared to Nolan and Guthrie against Cardiff.

I'd go for...

                         Harper
Simpson   Coloccini  Williamson   Van Aarnolt

Routledge     Nolan    Guthrie        Jonas

              Carroll            Lovenkrands

Subs: Krul, R Taylor, Hall, Smith, Pancrate, Best, Ameobi

Water boy: Nicky Butt

I dunno one arm I though Hall was decent on Friday.  I don't think players like Smith or Colo should expect to walk back in the team because they're fit again and big time players on £60k a week.

I'm a believer that if someone comes in and stakes their claim with a big peformance and doesn't look out of place then they should keep their place in the lineup.  Obviously you would make exceptions for certain players, but I wouldn't include Smith or Colo in that list.  Hall and Williamson looked solid as a partnership, the whole back 4 did, as much as I think sidewhow has been good this season, I would have said tonight is the type of game you want two big lads at the back?

Probably would play that team chris, even though I'm a massive Lovenkrands fan he's poor away from home.  Think all his goals have come at SJP?  He doesn't seem the same player at away games, that said he's not had much of a chance as we're usually playing 4-5-1!  If Smith is to be chucked back in I'd swap Nolan for him, although I don't think Hughton should change the lineup.  Needs to send out a message that you have to earn your place in the starting XI.

Williamson has argueably been man of the match in pretty much all 3 games he played for us.. or is it 4?

I've never seen him put a foot wrong really, apart from his dodgy clearance at Leicester.

I'd definatley like to see him keep his place in the line up!!

“It’s an away game and we will revert to the way we’ve been doing it on the road".

From Carroll in the chron.  I bloody hope not  we've been s*** away from home for ages and not won for ages on the road surely???

to be honest I don't agree with Carroll, but I'd take a draw from every away game we play, because we're doing the biz at SJP at the moment. I know we should be looking to win games like this, but a draw away from home in this league isn't a terrible thing. Certainly wish we had of got them against the likes of Scunthorpe and Forest!
