ITV Productions have just begun work on a new documentary being made for ITV1 to mark the 20th anniversary of the England v West Germany Semi-Final of Italia 90.

“Football: Reborn On The 4th Of July” (working title) will tell the story of how one football match captivated the nation and reinvigorated the beautiful game.

This programme will be broadcast on 4th July 2010 and will be one of the highlights of ITV1’s coverage of World Cup 2010 in South Africa.

The documentary promises to tell the definitive story of one of the most dramatic games of football ever seen. As well as interviewing the key players about their memories of the game, we are looking for fans who have their own stories to tell about that night in Turin – whether you were there in the stadium or watching at home. Do you have any home movies or photos of the night? Do you have a memorable story you could share with us? Did the watch the game in an unusual place? If so we’d really like to hear from you.

I can be contacted at the following email address – ben.smith@itv.com or by telephone at 01132 228826

i believe the world cups so massive they show it simultaneously on both channels....however this year a third of the games will be on a special eurosport world cup channel with a subscription cost of £20 per week, another third of the games will be shown on the internet and the rest will be covered by babecast with a commentary dream team of lucy pinder and danielle loyd

I'll be honest I don't think I'd be happy to watch the football whilst sucking on my Mams tits these days and I think you should probably visit a psychiatrist!
