Conversely he could come on as a sub after 2 minutes. Would you count that as a game or not?

Would it not be more accurate to just count it by minutes rather than appearances?

Statistical comparisons are often garbage at the best of times, why create such a massive margin of error for no reason?

These premier league stats show they can be a farce unless you look at them over a long period :-
Leon Best 10 goals in 1,920 minutes
Adam Le Fondre 12 goals in 1,491 minutes

My opinions from watching mitro live haven't changed - he doesn't seem to have that instinct needed he regularly isn't in the right position when balls go in the box.
Maybe it's confidence - maybe it's awareness - maybe it's the pace of the game
His record is decent to date but from what I have seen I don't see him continuing that goal scoring record but I'd love to be proved wrong

As for the suspensions - what is annoying is the sheer pointlessness of all of them:-
Arsenal - stupid studs up tackle in centre of pitch
Spurs - needless stamp in a meaningless game
West Ham - ridiculous elbow
If your getting sent off for saving a goal scoring opportunity fair enough but these are all brainless ones

I agree entirely with this mind, although the arsenal and spurs sendings off I didn't think were malicious at all. He wants to be careful about his reputation, we know what refs are like and the likes of barton in the past got booked for nothing while the likes of hazard could do 10 of them fouls and not get booked.

I love Mitro, but saw his limitations. But he came back this season, looking much fitter, he seems to have more confidence and is certainly more effect in the few minutes he's played. I think he can be a very good player for us to have. It sickens me though, during his best performance he once again needlessly gets himself suspended.  If he doesn't make it for us he'll need to look at his own behaviour. Shelvey on the other hand, hate him. Won't ever learn, is just a clown. I was praying Merino would keep him out, and he must have done enough?

Had he played the full 90 minutes today we would have won.
Cant understand the reasoning behind the omission.
Minute Murphy came on we were f***ed he is shyte and Perez is as weak as piss.

Rafa isn't infallible  :nonono:

He does not play a striker who can score goals.
Then, yesterday he has praised Dummett.
I am puzzled :look:

I know, Rafa knows better. Still :?

Mitrovic has a lot of flaws but he simply has to be worth a shot over Joselu at Old Trafford. Joselu just looks cack.

I just don't think Rafa trusts the lad to not get sent off.

I think it's a deeper rooted problem than this. If you're playing a strict defensive game against a top team, trying to keep things tight at the back and press / be mobile enough to play on the shoulder, bringing wingers and marauding fullbacks into the game, how many of these things would you trust him to be capable of doing?

He's supposedly strong and good in the air too...do the stats back that one up?
The above comments represent the views of OmegaprimeVKM only and nothing more.

I'd love to see the stats for Joselu for the exact things you mentioned there.
