crisis united v happy hammers sat 3pm
« on: August 24, 2017, 08:28:47 AM »

a traditional kick off time at last. home to struggling west ham united.

we need to get something or it's already a lost cause, no new faces so what do you expect the team to be.

remember it will always be 4-2-3-1  :wtf:

lose this and it get's toxic

We really need to get some points on the board, has Mitro not warranted a start ?

Gayle has offered next to nothing in the opening 2 games, against Huddersfield he didn't even looked arsed to chase the ball ! Least you know Mitro will graft and fight for the ball, he may not be as mobile but put someone more mobile in behind him, try Ritchie as a number 10, then go Atsu & Murphy wide?

Gayle and Perez hasn't worked, try something new, it is pretty obvious that a 4-4-2 isn't going to happen so the least we can hope for is some tweaks in personnel in the current 4-2-3-1

Week or so left in the window, reinforcements needed, strong rumours about 3-4 outgoings which could help? Lazaar, Riviere, De Jong, but the worrying thing is we are not linked with that many ? Anyone heard of any rumours ?

yeah, i know you aint lol. to me, that looks the best side we got though. it aint gonna change before the window, we got a championship side for the rest of the season now, you cant suddenly overhaul and entire squad in a week, so up to rafa to manage us out of relegation, or walk.

Is Yedlin fit? Agree thats probably our best line up at the moment if Yedlin is available
He may switch out Mitro for Gayle.

I'd like to see Richie given a run in that role. Much more energy, physicality and goal attempts than either  Perez or Diame.

We have to shake it up in the front four. Pace from Atsu and Aarons, especially when we win the ball in our own half. Got to look to break quickly.

We will be organised and hard to break down, that's expected. Can we pose any sort of threat is the question? Otherwise, lots of 1-0 losses

No panic, yet. Waiting for 10 league games. But, if after 10 games we are still struggling then we'd need to take action. I remember Schteve and judge me after 10, 20, 30 games. It is a brutal division from about 9th downwards

Lejeune a potential for this game? I imagine it'd make sense not to risk him for one game, bearing in mind there's a 2 week break after it

If we defend anything like we did against Huddersfield i can only see a defeat. I feel the team owes the fans something after the s**t start to the season, heart say win, head says defeat, so i'm sitting on the fence.

1-1

Sat. 26th August 3pm

West Ham have started just as bad as us but at least they beat Cheltenham on Wednesday.
Shelvey's last game of suspension, Dummett and Yedlin definitely out but Lejeune possible.
Think West Ham have a few injuries like Winston Reid and obviously Carroll.

My team:

Elliot
Gamez Lejeune Clark Colback
Mbemba Merino
Ritchie Atsu Aarons
Mitrovic

Bench: Darlow, Lascelles, Manquillo, Hayden, Gayle, Perez, Joselu
Alan Pardew: “It was all good up until when it kicked off.”

I would stick with Gayle up top if he's fit, he is still the more likely to put a half chance away than joselu and mitro but we need to stop leaving him isolated, drop Perez and play Aarons in the hole with instructions to stay closer to Gayle and try to create chances for him, start Murphy on the left Ritchie right, Hayden being more disciplined in protecting the back four and Merino keeping the front four well serviced with his accurate and wide ranging passing skills

ELLIOT

MANQUILLO    LASCELLES     CLARK      MBEMBA

<<<<<<<<<<HAYDEN>>>>>  MERINO

RITCHIE                                 MURPHY
                  AARONS
                         GAYLE

2-1 hammers. If Lejuene is even on the bench doubt he'll get gametime. Can't see our defence handling chicarito

Hope Haris Vuckic scores.
