La Liga Cry Babies
« on: September 07, 2017, 06:56:15 PM »
Can't stop laughing at la liga bosses complaining to the world about how PSG & Man City are out of order and financial doping as they are calling it

Pretty sure I can't remember any comments when Madrid sold their training ground to the council for a few thousand percent more than its actual value.
"Real Madrid have sold their training ground to wipe out a $245.4m (?170m) debt.

The current European champions have reached an agreement with the Madrid Regional Council to sell the Ciudad Deportiva training ground for a figure in the region $400m (?278m).

Under the terms of the agreement, the club will be able to relocate to a new-state-of-the-art complex on the outskirts of the city by 2004."

They don't like it they aren't able to blow every team out the water financially anymore!!!

They all want the top teams around Europe to be a closed shop and nobody else is allowed to play

We actually had a lower net spend that Utd this year. La Liga are terrified Messi is leaving.

They may be total hypocrites but their point still stands - and FFP didnt exist when madrid "sold" their training ground. Of course Man City and PSG should be investigated - they've both been "punished" once and they never listened so ... they need to be hit harder.

Monaco bossed that league and champions league and then lost their players to other teams who are blatantly cheating. I'd hate to be a french league fan as its been totally ruined

The thing is the FFP rules are f***ing bollocks - what's fair about them??? In their current format all they are designed to do is keep the top clubs at the top and not allow anyone else to break into it!!

What is wrong with an owner coming into a club and ploughing money into it to make them rise to the top?
It's his money & his club

What's worse:-
City/PSG Owners ploughing money into the clubs or
The glazers buying Man U then saddling the club with the debt?

The whole point of FFP should be to stops Leeds/Portsmouth scenario where owners don't use their own money but saddle the club with debt not stopping someone bringing money into the game

I agree with this.

I am loving watching the Spanish fans complain - they have it so good with their imbalanced league and their excessive winning in a fixed league - they're never short of gloating. They have no recourse now and rightly so.
The above comments represent the views of OmegaprimeVKM only and nothing more.

or flip it round - whats fair about a brilliant side like Monaco being dismembered by clubs like City, Chelsea and PSG  because they couldnt match them on the pitch. And not only spending money but breaking the rules to do it. You could argue FFP is "supposed" to be there to help smaller clubs keep their players.

Monaco have been to a final and a semi (each time when they didnt have cash I think?), Dortmund dont throw big money around but they destroyed madrid on their way to final, the Tottenham first team is exceptional but none of those players cost big money  (if you count Lamela and Sissoko on bench) and their net spend is usually ?2 or ?3m at a guess. Arsenal's net spend over last 10 years must be very very low as well and that was champions league knock out stage every year for them. I'm not even sure that Milan team that played Liverpool in 2 finals cost much - they seemed on their arse around that time.

It can be done and teams have done it.

Seeing Monaco dismantled like that was just a pisstake of epic proportions for me. The rules are there to stop that happening and now its time the rules were used to their maximum. Thats the second time now for PSG. If the rules arent used to their full then yes they are a joke but it seems fair enough that a different league is crying bullshit. Every european league should be demanding an investigation not just the spanish.

All the top clubs have fifa and uefa in their back pocket. FFP? Don't make me laugh, nobody can establish themselves as a top club anymore, the order is set in stone.

Barcelona also sold their soul to Qatar and Real Madrid have been ran dodgily for more than a century.

We've been running at a profit for the last 3 seasons.  The club is spending what it earns, nothing more.

You mean like Mike Ashley sponsors you? Unlike your deal, the Etihad deal isn't classed as a related party transaction, either by UEFA or the international accountancy standard. Which is the standard all the worlds financial institutions use.  As well as that, sponsorship from the Etihad only makes up about 20% of our income. City have come a long way since 2008.
