Reports in Italy are suggesting #NUFC are preparing for Rafa Benitez to leave the club in the summer by sounding out Reading boss Jaap Stam as a potential replacement. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/newcastle-united-news-live-14059522 ?

Best it just goes away now I'd say, we all - us and the team - need to put this behind us. It's properly shafted our season, I can't see it any other way.

Agree. We need to forget it and move on.

Fans need to get 100% behind the team. Yes, we lack a lot of quality, but this is a team that will give 100% honest effort and fight to the end. Booing the team at HT and FT against Brighton is not going to help them.

Even if the takeover happens, unless they are going to invest ?100m net a season for two seasons, then it ain't going to transform anything. ?30m gets us a striker that cannot get a start for Leicester or even in their squad most games. There are 12 teams battling to avoid the drop into oblivion. 7 have already changed their manager. All of these teams want goal scorers and have as much money to spend as we do. Most have been in the PL for at least two or three seasons and have a depth of squad that we do not. 52k every game means little when Bournemouth can blow ?20m on a full back and pay a 34 year old Defoe ?20m over 3 years.

We are in a battle to stay in the division. The cavalry are not coming. We can whinge, shout and boo but it will change nothing. If we whinge enough then Ashley may bring in another muppet manager to see if we get a dead cat bounce in results with our championship squad. Or we can stay united, with the flags and the atmosphere and get behind a manager and team who at least do give a s***.

Heres an interesting read.

http://tombenbow.blogspot.co.uk/2018/01/amanda-staveley-and-cantervale-what.html?m=1

I did a bit of digging on this yesterday through companies house.

?Farquhar? is actually the middle name of Craig Eadie. He is also a senior figure at PCP and owner/director of Penhallow. He registered the company for Amanda Stavely, he is also a director of the Stavely Foundation.
Could be something or nothing but I have my fingers crossed.
It costs about a hundred quid to register a company iirc and is very simple; I wouldn?t read too much into people saying she wouldn?t waste her time.

What is Ashley's game?

Does he want to stay at Newcastle or what?

He wants investment and Staveley wants to take the club off his hands!

i know
he's such a w**ker that it defies logic and there's almost no point applying logic to it. Like a good Terry F**kwit.

its his last ever chance to sell for anywhere near what he wants, its only downhill from now for us and him if he stays - yet he's risking messing up the takeover, losing the manager and thousands of fans (myself included) as a result, premier league status and at least ?150-200million personally.

time for another open letter pointing all this out to him. (and as way of a bonus the ignorant and purposefully ignorant media and fans of other clubs who don't get it, still)
