Does anyone know if Ashley was at the game today? I was at the match in the gallowgate and heard some lads saying Ashley was attending the match?

He was. Had a bit crack with him in greggs on the way to the game. Says he's thinking of taking us off the market

Before kick-off Amandas' name was buzzing around the stadium , you could hear everyone talking about her, I never gave her a second thought myself Rolleyes

Ayoze is not good
Merino is calmness personified and got us going with his awareness and clever passing
Atsu is like sh*t off a stick
No more excuses for Joselu please, crap.
Diame did well
A patient hard working performance

Shelvey producing more consistent performances now
Townsend and crybaby Zaha caused us a few problems
Aand Kebab should have walked for his scissor tackle on Yedlin
Very loud boos for the dirty little French twit
Elliot was largely a spectator
Lascelles and Lejeune worked really well together, stayed solid to keep Palace out
Eventually we got the breakthrough, Merino's smile lit up a dour miserable afternoon
Yet again Ritchie worked his socks off and another great corner produced the goal.

we weren't very good but fook that 3 points and that clinches safety for me, no more thoughts of relegation now , mid table is within our grasp now.

do not under estimate how big a 3 points this was

The palace forum is a fun read
Reading the Palace supporters you'd think they dominated the game and played fantastic stuff and would have won easily.....if they could have got a shot on target
Truth was Palace shaded first half, Newcastle 2nd half, and longer game went on, likely a draw, or a Newcastle win.
But they all miss the obvious. Hodgson set his usual formation up to defend deep and rely on breaks. Worked against Chelsea after all.
So Rafa did the same hence stalemate for 90%+ of the game. Awful game. From BOTH sides.
But I can't recall the last time an opposition manager thought they DIDN'T deserve to win against Newcastle. Even last season the current unfortunate managing Sunderland was manager of a Preston hammered 6-0 and STILL thought Preston were the better team (they hilariously weren't)
