Newcastle United v Bournemouth match thread
« on: November 02, 2017, 04:00:31 PM »
Merse has predicted us to win 2-1, so I'm going for a 1-0 Bournemouth.

Reckon Hayden will come back in, Mitro to be a no show again and Joselu too scuff 7 clear cut chances.
Bob the skutter and 2,471 others like this.

I will go for a scrappy 1-1 draw. Bournemouth will boss the ball we will score on the counter try to hold on and they will equalise in the last minute.
We are the NU the NUFC

Not confident. The sale bollocks has unsettled us.
They let you think you're king but you're really a pawn

Will be p***** off if it's the same team again.
Mitro or Gayle has to start, if he keeps leaving Mitro out it's plain poor management in my opinion. f***ing Saivet was on the bench last match, he was trash at Forest in the cup. Same with Murphy.
Alan Pardew: “It was all good up until when it kicked off.”

A clean sheet and a win. Hard fought as always. Any win will do. Small margins at this point. We need to win to really put some distance between the bottom two. This would leave Bournemouth right in bother. Avoiding relegation still is the number one priority.

I think Perez may pay the price for the goal on Monday. Joselu / Gayle or more likely Diame. Hayden back in midfield. Mitro - who knows where he will be. I'd bet that he does not make the bench, but with Rafa you never know

Merino definitely out so expect to see Hayden back in midfield

I don?t think we will see any other changes - hopefully mitro on bench tho

Hopefully a nice 3.1 home win.  It is very early in the season but this game is very important. lose and we could be sucked in towards relegation. Ritchie to have a blinder against his old team. Anyone putting money on Joselu Hatrick ?

1-0 loss. That annoyance and simpleton Defoe to score.

I just don't know where the goals are going to come from this season. Organisation doesn't help with that...

Not trying to sound negative because I think Rafa's doing a good job of making the team hard to beat, it's just a lack of creativity available up the pitch.
The above comments represent the views of OmegaprimeVKM only and nothing more.

With Bournemouth injuries woes upfront, I expect them to take no risk, to sit deep and play on the counter.
As we are not exactly set up as team to have a proper go either -  even at home - I expect a cagey/boring encounter that can go either ways.
Let's hope we win this one because after this game, we get some tough fixtures coming up.

That said, I hope I'm wrong and that we get instead a goal feast 4-1 with a Joselu hat-trick  :D

This is a good read on nufc blog .uk - noticed they've started chatting to an opposition fan each week before the game and tend to offer a really interesting insight before our games

Joselu having a fantastic game yet again :nonono:

Shelvey looks below par to me, a few decent passes but overall doesn't look is best. Atsu & Ritichie doing well down the wings but the crossing needs improving!!!

defensively ok but a few worrying moments but hey that's Newcastle!!!

Need to step it up in the 2nd half

it's criminal not to be playing Mitrovic now. This is painful
