Arsenal v Newcastle
« on: December 15, 2017, 01:45:50 PM »
Saturday, 16th December, 2017.
Kick off 3pm, at the Emirates Stadium

Arsenal beat Huddersfield 5-0 at home on 29th November but have not won a league game since, with a defeat to Man Utd and then draws against both Southampton and West Ham which have left them 7th in the premiership as we go in to gameweek 18, and they are without Ramsey and Walcott but Lacazette is expected to be back in the side after being rested against west ham in midweek. Shelvey ofcourse is banned (again), Mitrovic is out with a back problem, Dummett is back in the squad, difficult as usual to second guess what team Benitez will send out, he could reinstate Elliot after two mistakes in two games from Darlow, hopefully he starts with Clark and not Lejeune, Joselu could start, Diame will almost certainly be dropped . something like this :

ELLIOT

YEDLIN    LASCELLES   CLARK   MANQUILLO/DUMMETT

HAYDEN    MERINO

RITCHIE     GAYLE      ATSU

JOSELU

Prediction: 2-2

Howay the Lads  :)

Comfortable routine win for the Gunners.
They always beat us and they are due 3 points after a couple of disappointing weeks for them.
Also, Giroud is like Rooney, always scores against us.

3-1 to Arsenal  :nonono:

3-0 to Arsenal not that bothered as they always seem to beat us at their place comfortably and I can't see tomorrow being any different!
Hello hello we are the Geordie boys.

We're a bang average side, void of any quality or confidence. Routine Gunners win. Giroud to bang a couple, at least.

Move on

Not sure if I can cope with another early goal from Gayle, then camp in our own half and lose 57-1  :nonono:

Yeah, 5 or 6.

What bothers me about us is, unlike the average plucky yet poor promoted teams, we don't seem to steal the odd cheeky 1-0 against a big boy team and cause an upset. You usually see that somewhere along the line.

When it looks like a walkover, we tend to simply get walked over.

We looked so static against Everton. Arsenals passing will tear us a new one. This result may make Mike decide ?300m is the sake of the century

As expected Elliot in for Darlow, Diame on the bench, dropping Gayle seems a bit daft, Joselu, Murphy and Perez all start

ELLIOT

YEDLIN LASCELLES LEJEUNE MANQUILLO

HEYDEN MERINO

MURPHY PEREZ ATSU

JOSELU
